HERE ARE THE TOP 5 THINGS TO DO IF YOU HAD TO POSTPONE IN 2020

Here are 5 things to do RIGHT NOW if you were forced to postpone to 2021...
.
1- Make absolutely certain you have all your vendors locked down. I don’t mean an email confirmation or text. Get a new contract with confirmation of your new date and their “Pandemic preparedness plan”. You should know precisely what their policy is on new mandates if they should be in effect. still. You should know policy on fees, options for postponement, how things will carry over, and what the due dates are along the way to ensure you are making the calls at the right time. If you don’t log those dates of when you are locked in and things change, you could find yourself out of options.
.
2- Lock down your room blocks. 2021 will have Wednesday, Thursday, Friday Saturday and Sunday weddings in desirable seasons so you better hold your spots now! Get creative with Air BnB’s. Talk to your family and friends now because they are not thinking this far ahead so if you want them to be onsite with you or everyone in one place push them to plan ahead.
.
3- Roll with it! Let your 2020 plan go. Wash that thing out of your hair and don’t mourn it, it’s done and you are on to better things. Attitude is everything and it will guide the process if this enjoyable or not. I am telling you we postponed, we cancelled, we altered, we went micro… we did it all. What made it feel best? Attitude! The couples who treated it like it was their first choice enjoyed every single moment.
.
4- Don’t just think it was a direct plop of 2020 to 2021. Did the season change? Did the location? Did guest count? Styles are always evolving to don’t just sit back like “we were done in August of 2020”. Reevaluate and see if the look and feel should be growing with you. Some items may not be in season, some items may not be available on the new date. Some of your design might make zero sense for your new location. Don’t think of it as work think of it as a opportunity to re-design. Design is the best part (if you ask me) and this is your chance to get back in that creative mode. We are all at home anyway, log back into that Pinterest board and let’s get a 2021 update!
.
5- Get excited!!! Enough of this doom and gloom. Weddings are fun, life is unpredictable. Now is the time to brush ourselves off and start anew. I am here to bring the joy back to planning. Hit me up so we can start enjoying the process together again. We got you!

YOU ARE GETTING MARRIED! LETS CELEBRATE!
