HUTTON HOUSE WEDDING
As the officiant began he let the family in on a little secret, their family was growing by one more come spring…
As Alexa was forced to postpone her wedding she knew she wouldn’t be able to wait a year and she moved full speed ahead with a new plan. When her original venue was no longer available we had to find a new location, it would be a reduced guest count, and a totally new season… no problem.
She quickly landed on The Hutton House within just 10 minutes of my recommendation of the space, “Oh my gosh its STUNNING! Let’s do it!” She was quick off the gun that was for sure. Gotta love that about her.
We had a new state and new vendors to bring in but we didn't miss a beat. Alexa had a minimalist style and told me, “honestly I don’t think I like flowers.” WHAT?!? I know I was stunned too but when we found the right florist with Sister Honey she quickly changed her mind seeing that monochromatic look of dried florals against fresh was absolute perfection.
We never could have imagined their wedding weekend would welcome a heat wave in November that ushered in a 70 degree day… in MINNESOTA no less! Wild… but it was perfect. As guests entered to the sound a soft string quartet they saw friends and family for the first time in months and found out their beloved bride was also expecting a child… it was magical.
They then wandered outside following ceremony to the adorable tent setup and lounge sets enjoying the warm breeze and signature cocktails. The band kicked things off with high energy and soon enough people had forgotten the chaos that 2020 had brought upon us. A coffee cart serving up signature lavender espresso drinks and honey meil drinks got everyone reinvigorated for dancing and the late night snack from Chick-Fil-A along with custom cookies saturated their stomachs and encouraged the party to rage on.
It was the perfect way to end our 2020 and with that… we even welcomed Alexa (the bride) to our team and she became an official member of our planning family for future MB family to enjoy! She has incredible style, a vigor and enthusiasm for life we all wish we had, and that “lets roll with it” attitude that keeps things light and enjoyable no matter what. We are thrilled to have her and can’t wait for you to work with her also.
Cheers and Congratulations to the adorbable couples Alexa and James!!!!
