Ken and Anda, A Love Story for the Ages
It’s not everyday you meet your soulmate. But in Ken and Anda’s case it was the second time.
Both widowed in their 60’s they may have thought that time had passed for them until their meet cute at a friends event in which they were, not so sneakily, encouraged to get to know one another. Both had their families, watched their children grown up, and also lived through loss. There are so many things that can get in your way but these two were absolutely destined to find one another.
Never have you seen two people look so deeply into one another.
Never has a couple had such a clear vision of what was important to them as they joined their lives.
I am telling you if specializing in second marriages like this was an option, WE ARE ALL IN!
“I want a party Ashley, I want her to have everything she’s ever wanted and I want to document every moment to relive together as long as we can”
That’s right, you want to clutch your heart at how adorable this is.
She was a Tennessee girl and her request was simple, “Make it Tennessee orange.” Not a color on my color wheel then but it sure is now. Ken’s request was a hoppin band and packed dance floor. Done and done! Bluewater Kings and David Charles Production teamed up for staging, performance, lighting, sound, and we blew the roof off of the newly renovated Commodore. Airyl from Briar Loft was tasked with bringing that color and life but also not letting things get too
“wedding-y”. He told me “We are both in our 70’s… there is no father daughter dance and cake cutting… been there done that.”
As their friends celebrated their union, their children cried happy tears of relief that they had found one another, and they leapt into one another’s arms to celebrate it exuberated happiness. Anda was already struggling with her memory and Ken repeated to us time after time that he wanted to share the best day of their lives together, capture each and every moment, and be present with one another as long as they could. He knew this video would be more than an anniversary watch each year. It would be a regular reminder to bring her back to him, to show her his love for her, and hers for him. Their joy and dedication to one another.
It was just beautiful.
She danced the night away and after teaching the deaf for many years one thing that didn’t seem to lose any realestate at the front of her mind was he ability to sign. She was showstopping as the signed so eloquently each and every song all night long.
There are few moments more beautiful than this.
Thank you for the pleasure of planning with you both. It was an experience I will never forget and will carry with me throughout my life.
Cheers to the new Mr and Mrs Foster.
