Megan + Tyler
The moment I first met Megan I knew she was someone I wanted to work with. Her story, her style, and her desire for an intimate meaningful day… it was magic to my ears.
From the start Megan wanted to keep her wedding to 80 people or less but with a large venue she still wanted it to feel lush, romantic, and welcoming. We tied the formal to the delicate for stunning affair held at The Lageret in Stoughton (just 20 minutes outside Madison). A celebration of love and togetherness was of the utmost importance. In light of difficult years there was no question of why we were throwing a big celebration. She fell in love with Sunny with Ebb and Flow flowers and from the go she understood and began to run with it. The space is very industrial so we had to bring some lightness to the space, add some softer textures, and fill the space in a way that made such a large warehouse style event space feel very inviting.
By changing out the chairs for bright King Louis with white tufted upholstery the space was instantly elevated. The entrance was adorned with arched oversized urns, the ceiling draped with delicate chiffon, and the backdrop blown up by big beautiful blooms set in a garden arch. Lounge spaces in the bar, entrance and surrounding the fire invited guests to get cozy. Patterned linens brought life to an otherwise darker cocktailing space. Each detail was carefully chosen by the bride and myself to ensure ultimate guest enjoyment.
But the dinner space, that is where the space really shined. A stunning crisp patterned white linen with a mossy green napkin and deckled edge menu. Etched crystal stemware with an old school elegance. Frosted chargers with soft gold rim for formal finish. The arch was centered behind their head table, vines strung overhead, and lush arrangements at each table. The cake was nestled in a spectacular arrangement of blooms and each candle, each piece of flatware, and display perfectly played into their romantic love story. Food For Thought came out to cater a five star meal of Herb Crusted Frenched Chicken, Steak Au Poivre, and Fresh Ricotta Potato Dumplings.
Sometimes its hard to say goodbye to the clients that we have such a pleasant experience with. Megan and Tyler you were a pleasure to work with and get to know. You had a spectacular day and I am so pleased you chose us to assist you.
Cheers!
