Maddy + Travis

The details in this day were unprecedented. For a story and couple so unique nothing else would suffice.

When we met Maddy she had such a calm yet highly decisive demeanor, she knew what she wanted she simply needed to find the team to execute it. She came with ideas and we met her with ways to build them. She brought a love story and we found ways to tell it. She was dreaming big and we were tasked with delivery.

After falling in love in Australia they hoped to host their guests there but unfortunately their wedding plans were smashed by COVID. They were married in small intimate ceremony without their larger family and friends group but when the wedding location later pivoted and the two of them decided they were going to go for it…. they went all in!

They met as Travis was hitchhiking in AU.

Didn’t see that coming did you?

They professed their love after mere days. They exchanged love letters, shared in new adventures and soon decided they were going to be together for the long hall.

We discussed several venues and then finally landed on private estate wedding. And what a stunning setting it was!

A clear span floored tent in their backyard for ceremony, which would later be flipped to a late night silent disco, and a full Sperry tent across the road with an eight foot tall grand staircase to their floral oasis. The terrace, the urns, the entire landscape in white and green with hints of dusty rose. Accented spaces to reflect the styling of Australia utilizing Australian native plants. It took six full days and more than 20+ vendors but the result was magic.

We had a lounge space with framed love letters from their courtship. Personalized escort cards with pressed blooms inside on wall in the shape of the AU opera house. A guest book made to look like a surfboard that they could hang on their wall. Hundreds of strands of spanish moss hung by hand to remind them of their travels.

No detail was there by chance.

There was no shortage of talent lent to this day. Groups built in 100 degree heat. We had countless semi trucks of flowers and deliveries. There were ten different rental companies involved. Vendor team nearly outnumbered the guest count total. And, man was it worth it.

I cannot thank our team and everyone involved enough. Words can never express my gratitude for the couple in allowing us to assist them tell their story. To the vendors for putting in so many hours of planning and execution. And to our team for supporting this vision.
