When I started our business I was young, SO young. I told clients I was 30 years in advance because I worried they wouldn’t take me seriously but I was so committed to making this happen. I had worked in floral, in management, in corporate planning, in bridal boutique, I worked every angle of hospitality, and I even staged with other planning companies and did venue coordination. My first wedding I assisted with I was 20 years old as a full time student at UW Madison. I asked my boss, “could I get credit to intern on weddings?” and she told me she despised weddings so… “go ahead and take them all!” I worked my tail off, I lost money on my business in the start, and kept multiple jobs to make it all work. Twelve years later we have worked across 7 states and built a team in three cities.

My goal was never to be the largest company or take on more than anyone else. It was to be authentic and real with our clients. Be there to execute their vision and make their day everything they wanted it to be. To show up for them not in defense of what I want to be doing but to support their vision of their day.

We plan weddings of all budgets and all over the Midwest and beyond. Our goal is to be an advocate for our client and team player for the overall whole of the wedding team. There is no arrogance or snobbery to what we put out there. Real people for real couples.

What sets us apart is our authenticity. In a world full of attempted “perfectionism” we will be a re-alignment with reality. We don’t need you to be anyone else for your guests, for us, or anyone else. We will be honest with you, we will be transparent with you, and we will work to keep your story at the forefront of your day as well. We will use our 12+ years in the industry to offer guidance, and stewardship. We will use our wide knowledge of the laboring locations to pull top vendors that suit each client best. At no point do we stick to a set “preferred list” as we want you to make the decisions that fit you as opposed to what we enjoy best.
